Frequent vehicle traffic
Entrances used by dozens or hundreds of vehicles per day — commercial plazas, office campuses, airports, government facilities — need automatic operation. The electro-hydraulic YC-01 raises and lowers in 3-5 seconds, and the fully sealed YC-02 adds IP68 protection for outdoor and flood-prone sites.
Access control integration
Automatic bollards integrate with license plate recognition (LPR), RFID readers, remote controls, ground loop sensors, and central management platforms. Authorized vehicles trigger the system automatically, and every pass is recorded.
High security level
For crash-rated protection, automatic models are paired with reinforced foundations and tested to K12 / PAS 68 / IWA 14 standards. Manual models do not provide crash-rated protection.
When to Choose Semi-Automatic or Manual Bollards
No power supply on site
The YC-03 semi-automatic bollard operates purely mechanically. A gas-spring assists the raise; a key controls access. It is the standard choice for fire lanes, residential communities, and pedestrian zones where wiring is impractical.
Budget-sensitive projects
Semi-automatic and fixed bollards have significantly lower equipment cost, no electrical installation, and minimal maintenance. For low-frequency control points, they deliver the best value.
Emergency or backup control
Manual override is built into every automatic bollard as standard, but a semi-automatic bollard is inherently mechanical — it can never be blocked by a power failure.

Total cost of ownership includes equipment, installation, power, and maintenance. An automatic bollard typically costs 2-4 times more than a semi-automatic unit at purchase, plus cabling and UPS.
